Orchard Keeper re-release!

My name is Larkin Bryne, and I am a queer horror romance author. Today, I am re-releasing that book, and because I gave away so many free copies, I thought it was only fair that I provide everyone with an updated version!

Orchard Keeper was originally released as a novelette (about 10k words) for a multi-author series. Participating in that collaboration was a really great experience for me, but because I have ADHD, I procrastinated and wrote the whole book over the course of about 4 days. If I’m being honest with myself, the work was not my best, and I avoided promoting it for a very long time because I associated the book with a good amount of shame.
After revisiting the manuscript months later, I decided (impulsively lmao) that I wanted to do a re-release—and here it is! The biggest thing that has changed is word count. I’ve added around 18k new words. Look out—there’s a lot more smut this time around!

Jesse Vale owns almost nothing when he is released from prison—just one set of clothes, fifteen dollars in a plastic bag, and a bunch of junk he found in the lot of a Diner. He had plans to leave dust-covered Bellamy Texas, to find a real job in a real place, and finally start his real life. But when Jesse meets Ward Guillory, a handsome older man who runs the local orchard, those plans change.

Ward offers him a job: Work on the orchard for one month, stay in the house on Ward’s property, earn a living, and then go on his merry way with no strings attached. Jesse accepts. What could be safer than a place like Bellamy? It is only when Jesse arrives on the property that he realizes: The house where he sleeps holds people in the walls, and the ground that he walks on has teeth.  

Orchard Keeper is a 30k word m/m horror romance novella featuring a trans masculine character. Expect magical lactation, touch-starved characters, a sassy MC, and shifting power dynamics. While this book features a HFN ending, HEA is ultimately guaranteed in the second installment of the duology. Orchard Keeper features explicit content and is not appropriate for readers under the age of 18.
